Our Mission
Sophia’s Steps vzw is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to improving the mobility and quality of life of children with physical disabilities. Inspired by Sophia’s resilience, we work to remove barriers and help her quite literally take steps forward in her development.
Through targeted fundraising and support for innovative therapies and rehabilitation technologies that are not covered by standard healthcare systems, we aim to provide the resources needed to help her reach her full potential.
While our work today is dedicated to Sophia, we hope that our journey can also inspire awareness and progress for other children facing similar challenges in the future.

Our Mission
We facilitate access to intensive — and often very expensive — rehabilitation programs and innovative robotic technologies that fall outside standard health insurance coverage. Sophia’s Steps vzw was founded to remove these financial barriers, ensuring that Sophia has the best possible opportunities to develop and maintain her motor skills.
Our Vision
We envision a future where an AGS diagnosis is not the final stop, but the starting point of a boundary-breaking journey. Our vision is to build a sustainable platform that not only supports Sophia, but also inspires others. We strive for a world in which every child with a physical challenge has access to the best care technologies, regardless of the price tag.
